Why Am I a Photographer?
My primary goal during our time together will be to get to KNOW you so that I can effectively tell your story, whatever it may be.
Everyone has a story, and so, that is my aim, to tell your story.
If I can open up to you, and you can open up to me, we can make each photo something really special, sacred, even.
My desire is for you to look at your photographs and feel something real.
I want you to say, “I KNOW that person. Hello old friend.”
I want to spread the message, “You are enough. Just like you are.”
Which brings me to my secondary goal: Post processing.
My goal is to tell the truth, to keep the images realistic, and honest.
No gimmicks. No trickery. Come what may.
I want to take honest photos that tell a story- YOUR story, not a story I manipulate into something that will generate likes and comments on social media, or make it onto the front of a glossy magazine, but the whole ugly beautiful truth of who you are.
None of us are perfect.
But I truly believe that ALL of us are priceless works of art made by an awesome Creator, God.
My third (because tertiary sounds too stuffy) goal is to give you and those that love you tangible memories to hold on to even after this day has come and gone.
Sometimes I have this overwhelming desire to slow down time. I know I can’t, so I try to hold onto my memories; however, I have been around long enough to discover that memories fade and often become distorted given enough time.
So, I photograph my family, my friends, the sunsets, the flowers, the toys, the messes, and even myself – anything I want to remember, so that long after that day has passed, I can look back. I can remember that day. That moment.
I take photographs because I want to share this gift with others too.
Welcome to my world.
Come on in and let's get started.
